Organics Studio Reviews

Elements
This ink was very surprising. The sheen on my Breeze notebook with Tomoe River paper is amazing. This has a nice blue color that shows red/purple sheen in various lighting and angles. Does not feather or bleed in any way and was well behaved on copy paper, Leuchtturm notebook, and Tomoe River papers. Definitely a good choice for a vibrant everyday ink!

I bought a bottle each of Walden Pond Blue, James Joyce Hunter Green, and Jane Austen Violet.

The Walden Pond Blue is amazing. Good flow, incredible shading and sheen. It doesn't dry particularly quickly and I have not checked to see if it has any permanence qualities (I would guess that it does not, based on how easy it is to clean and how well it flows). 10/10 ink, will buy again.

When I first started using fountain pens, I bought several dark green inks. Diamine Green/Black and Faber Castell Moss Green are two of the ones that have been inked in my pens ever since I first experienced them. Unfortunately, next to them, the James Joyce Hunter Green was nothing special. I will give it another try later, likely in a broad or stub nib to see if it has sheen or shading that I did not notice with a medium nib, but for now I am mostly just disappointed with it.

Other than doing a swab with the Jane Austen Violet, I haven't used it. The swab was less saturated than I expected.

The bottle is nothing to write home about, but it is functional and that's all that I really need.

All in all, this ink gets a 10/10 from me.

The sheen is incredible! I’m using a Leuchtturm 1917 notebook for daily writing and with my EF Lamy CP1 I find this ink sheens bright pinky-red on every stroke. I really thought other reviews were exaggerating or using exclusively Tomoe River Paper. It’s beautiful!

Yes, it's true. Walden Pond sheens like crazy on almost everything. This comes with the usual drawbacks: faster to dry on the nib, smudges even when dry. I thought it was worth it.

You know the colour of willow trees in spring time - the gentle musky shade of green? That's what you get in a bottle of Willow Green ink. This ink doesn't have much of a sheen, but it has nice shading from very pale to quite darker green. Dries quite fast. Very happy with this one.

Organics Studio inks are fairly new to me, but what a wonderful experience so far. Walden Pond ink is one of the best sheening inks there is. Gorgeous deep green with purplish sheen just leaps of the page. If you like sheen in your inks, this ink will not disappoint.

One of my most favourite inks. It has this amazing sheen that I've never seen on other inks, yet it dries quite fast and doesn't smudge like other sheening inks do. I have filled my Waterman Carene medium gold nib pen with Nitrogen and it is very enjoyable to cover a page with this colourful wonder.

If you like sheening ink, you HAVE to get this. It's a great blue ink with a fuchsia pink sheen that's nearly blinding. It sheens on every type of paper I've tried it on so far, as well as with every pen. It doesn't need to be put down thick to sheen. Organics Studio hit it out of the park with this one.

I've tried most of the colors in the Masters of Writing series, and they all are well behaved unique inks. My favorite of the line is the new Walden Pond Blue, which has an interesting color and absolutely stunning sheen - perhaps the most sheening ink in my 200+ bottle collection. The color variation in the right nib is amazing as well. The F. Scott Fitzgerald Golden Orange is another terrific color and probably my second favorite of the series for it's unique color. The Poe is fantastic as well, though there are a few other ink makers with colors very similar to the Poe. I'm thrilled Organics Studio is back to making inks and still excited about creating new colors with great properties.
