The Monteverde Regatta limited edition fountain pen has been crafted with exceptionally beautiful materials to highlight one of Monteverde's most significant models, the Monteverde Regatta, which is considered the Flagship of the brand by many.
The new Monteverde Regatta Mother of Pearl Collection brings the gentle healing power of the sea through the iridescent luster of Mother of Pearl. The genuine white Mother of Pearl material is cultured in the lagoons of Australia while the Black Mother of Pearl material is cultured in lagoons of Tahiti. The exceptionally beautiful material is said to reduce stress, help focus thoughts, facilitate self-expression and motivation, as well as encourage healing and exude a calming influence.
The Mother of Pearl materials are paired with your choice of Rose Gold-plated or Gunmetal-plated brass trim for a unique limited edition fountain pen with an exotic, beautiful design that is pleasant to hold.
Each Monteverde Regatta limited edition fountain pen comes with a color-coordinated Jowo stainless steel #6 nib plated to match the trim color, a standard universal ink cartridge, and a standard international threaded converter. The cap has a magnetic closure that also holds fast when posted.

Each Monteverde Regatta Limited Edition Fountain Pens we sell is guaranteed to be genuine, authentic and will arrive brand new & unused!
This is the rose gold version and each pen is numbered. There is only a limited number of the pens made. It alternates between the rose gold and carbon fiber black. You can see these sections here, carbon fiber and then in between the rose gold and the black is a black metal knurled section.
The top of the cap, it has the Monteverde mountain logo on a rose gold medallion. Black ring, with a gold colored clip. Plain clip, nothing on it, but it has a curve to it. These are metal sections with the rose gold.
On the backside is the limited edition and the number of the pen, printed. And you can see those alternating sections. It's a little bit thinner here at the bottom of the barrel of the pen, for posting it, and has a black tip or end on the very end of the barrel.
The cap is magnetic, and it's also magnetic when it posts, so it holds on simply and easily and very nice. It's a metal section matching rose gold and comes with a stainless steel nib. The Monteverde logo, a black color, and the feed on the back side of the pen.
It's a cartridge converter style pen. To change the ink you unscrew this section from the barrel of the pen. An ink converter will be included with the pen, and also under the false bottom of the box we have additional ink cartridges for the pen and information about the pen, the warranty, use and care guide, and all of that.

I can't say enough good things about this pen. Fantastic value for the price, and I prefer it to some of my nicer pens. The magnetic cap is stellar quality, and feels much more solid than some of the others I've tried. Nice weight, posts very well, has a standard #6 nib if you want to swap it out, I'm hard-pressed to find critiques.

Beautiful pen, hefty and large (which is what I prefer) BUT it's a "dry" pen if you don't use daily. I've had to prime it with a bit of water several times as the nib just doesn't stay wet. Other than that, it writes smoothly and well with the F nib. LOVE the magnetic post! People NOTICE this pen when you use it.

Lovely pen. Nice attention to detail, starts smoothly and writes smoothly, heavy but I like that and was hoping for it. Magnetic cap means bit of a wiggle when capped and posted, but it stays closed. Very happy with the purchase, very *very* happy with customer service both working with me to correct an error I made while ordering, and in shipping my pen lightning-fast.

The Mother of Pearl shimmers when exposed to light and renders the pen a piece of collectible rather than a writing instrument. The large Omniflex nib is smooth and there is a good range of line variation. A rather heavy pen which is not actually suited for extended writing sessions. There aren't many manufacturers able to produce such a beauty at this price point.

When I purchase fountain pens I sometimes wonder how they will age. I enjoy cleaning and maintaining all my pens but some are more enjoyable than others, this is one of them for me. With wood and metal in its design, I'm looking forward to the challenge of keeping both wood and metal in tip top shape.

I personally enjoy the looks and solid construction of this pen, and find the weight balanced for my hand and writing style (which always needs improvement). I like the magnetic capping and posting instead of screwdown mechanisms. I plan to keep learning and developing my tastes to eventually wisely afford higher priced (and quality) FP's in the not too distant future.
