This is a Krishna ink from India and is quite the value. Lyrebird is a product line that seems to be more appropriate for use in more formal settings such as offices and for writing on common paper. The Water Green can be deceiving because it is much more teal and says on the label Ebony Green. Not a classic green but a lovely darker teal that works well on the page. For those unfamiliar with the brand, this would be a wonderful introduction because you can always get the more intense colors later. Really nice color and value.

This ink is affordable, but its color comes out somewhat consistent in that it sometimes leaves behind a grey color instead of a deep black. On cheap notebook paper it feathers pretty badly. The degree of waterproofing is similar to some of the Noodler's inks in that what one writes remains on the page, but blurs some on the edges when wet. I did not try a soaking test because it is very rare for my work to be completely submerged.

I ordered blue-black, but this ink is very blue. I would rate it as water-resistant, not waterproof.

Very disappointed at how pink this ink is, and unsaturated. I was really hoping for a red water-resistant ink. I tried it in two different pens and even swabbed it directly on several types of paper. It’s pink and somewhat watery. I do not recommend.
