Limited Edition of 871: Lunar Zodiac
The acid-etched Chinese Zodiac illustrations feature the Year of the Dragon stamp in stonewashed brass framed by a red accent print and antique brass accents. The top disc features a Chinese knot pendant.
Two January 2022 Releases: (Running numbered editions - not limited)
The Route Master: Evoking the iconic vintage postal vehicles from the early days, this Red, White, and Blue design paired with the historic eagle logo brings simpler times to mind and reminds us of the vital nature of the USPS throughout our history. The Route Master Tornado rollerball has an acid-etched barrel with light texture paneling and rivets representative of vintage USPS vehicles. The pen's metal barrel is printed with the iconic eagle logo and vehicle markings and finished with gloss black trim. The final touch is the Eagle icon placed on the top disc/finial.
2021 Love Stamp: This Retro 51 Tornado rollerball pen release features original art and stamp design by Bailey Sullivan with Greg Breeding as art director used as the USPS 2021 Love stamp. The Retro 51 Tornado USPS 2021 Love Stamp rollerball pen design is silk-screened on the stainless steel barrel and finished with a gloss varnish. The design is completed with polished chrome trim, an engraved USPS logo, and the pen's serial number. Finally, each 2021 Love Stamp Tornado rollerball pen is topped with a graphic finial displaying one more heart.
December 2022: The Hanukkah pen features USPS stamp art designed after an original fiber-art wall hanging featuring a hand-dyed, appliquéd, and quilted abstract image of a Hanukkiah. The original art's idea was adapted to a printed design for this release with the image wrapped around the Tornado's stainless steel barrel, varnished with a clear glossy finish, and paired with brass accents. The finial shows candle flames and the serial number of the 718 Limited Edition. The USPS® Hanukkah stamp was designed by Jeanette Kuvin Oren, with Ethel Kessler as the art director.
The textured knurl-top of your Retro 51 USPS Tornado rollerball pen twists to extract the smooth-flowing rollerball refill and then closes with a twist in the opposite direction when not in use.
