About the Tibaldi Bononia
The Tibaldi Bononia fountain pen design was originally inspired by the models of the 1930's, but the recent reincarnation of this Italian-made Tibaldi design retains the round, tapered design and features a striped resin body and cap. The light and dark striations of color and mother-of-pearl sheen are finished with palladium finishes.

The classic style is very pleasing. The pen feels comfortable in my clumsy left hand and writes very smoothly, I enjoy using it.

I have been on an Italian pen kick recently and have five different colors of the Tibaldi Perfecta pen and enjoy them so much I decided to branch out and get the Bononia Pearl Mist. The sections of grey and white are just beautiful. The extra fine nib smooth as butter as expected. A slight gripe, the threads on the cap are a little gritty, I hope they will smooth out over time. I like the pen so much however, that I believe the Seashell Mist is going to be a Thanksgiving gift to myself!

Nice pen, coloring is subdued and sophisticated. The (Med) nib writes well but differently than most. Medium wetness, fairly smooth (not so good on textured “laid” stationery) with noticible feedback but great on smooth finished papers. Cap threading not tight but alright. This is my 8th Tibaldi, soon to be 9. I love the looks of the materials!

I purchased the gray version and it is beautiful and writes well in Med. It was not offered in a italic stub which I would have purchased but the medium writes well.
