About the Stipula Israel 65th Anniversary Limited Edition
Marking the 65th anniversary of the creation of the State of Israel in 2013, Stipula has created the Israel 65th Anniversary Limited Edition.
Each pen is crafted in Florence, Italy by Stipula's skilled artisans. The colors of the fountain pen resemble the colors of the Israeli flag with a white resin barrel and a blue cap. The clip and ring tell the story of peace with symbols such as the olive branch. The background depicting the wailing wall, thought to be the remains of the second temple that stood over 200 years ago. The Israel 65 logo adorns the front of the band which incorporates the Menorah. On the backside of the band is the Hebrew word Shalom which means peace.
To further promote peace, Yafa will donate a portion of the sales to world peace. Only 1948, the year the State of Israel was created, of each Stipula Israel 65th Anniversary Limited Edition fountain pen was made. The fountain pen fills via a cartridge/converter and is available in various metals.

I had been keeping an eye on this pen for some time now, and pounced when I saw the holiday sale price. My 2nd Stipula, and quite similar to my other experience, it’s quite a reliable writer. Nice weight, but unlike the Tocco, this one has a bit of hard starting. However, it may be the ink I chose, a thicker/heavier sheening ink.
