The Sailor 1911L Ninja fountain pens are inspired by traditional Japanese Ninjas. During the Muromachi period (1336-1573) through the Edo period (1603-1868), warring feudal lords sent Ninjas on night raids, sabotage missions, assassinations, and missions to invade enemy territory to obtain information on the enemy to return to their lord. To complete their missions, the ninjas often used a variety of weapons including swords, shurikens, makibishi, etc. Sailor's extensive knowledge of the art of pen making brings the idea of the traditional Ninja to life in stunning Yuubi Maki-e.

The pens in the Sailor 1911L Ninja Maki-e fountain pen Collection are crafted from PMMA resin and feature varying detailed designs in Yuubi Maki-e. The pens are available in varying nib sizes. The Sailor 1911L fountain pen cap is threaded and can be posted (push post) while writing. Each Sailor 1911L Ninja Maki-e fountain pen comes with a Sailor proprietary converter and two proprietary Sailor Black ink cartridges.

NOTE: Sailor advises that their ion-plated nibs should only be used with Sailor brand inks to avoid damage to the nib. To maintain the 1-year manufacturer warranty, use Sailor inks with your pen.
