About the Pelikan P205 Cartridge
The classic design of the Pelikan 205 fountain pen, traditionally a piston fill, is now available as a cartridge fountain pen! The Pelikan P205 Cartridge fountain pen is ideal for travelers and those that prefer a quick change cartridge style fountain pen.
To exchange the ink cartridge simply unscrew the fountain pen at the ring. The Pelikan P205 Cartridge fountain pen uses the Pelikan Edelstein ink cartridges.

You can see at the top of the cap, the pen has the Pelikan logo with the traditional Pelikan bill style clip on the pen. It flares out nicely, makes it easy to slide into your pocket. Then on the bottom of the cap, we have Pelikan, Germany engraved into that chrome ring and just a simple black, glossy, resin barrel.
The cap of the pen is threaded and unscrews. It can be posted. It's a smaller pen, so I prefer writing with this pen posted.
It comes with a chrome-colored stainless steel nib with the Pelikan logo engraved or etched on it. And since this is a cartridge version of the Pelikan 205, you can exchange the ink by unscrewing the grip section from the barrel of the pen and you'll have a Pelikan Edelstein ink cartridge that will be included with the pen. That's a standard universal ink cartridge, so this pen will take any standard universal ink. There's also a simple chrome-colored ring between the grip section and the barrel. There's a little bit of a thread there. It doesn't bother me with where I hold the pen, although that may be an issue for some people.

This is the Pelikan P205 Fountain Pen. It comes in a cardboard box, has the Pelikan logo embossed or printed in brown on the top of the box lid. This box slides open. The pen comes with a nice, soft, leather carrying case. It's a white leather. We can see the Pelikan logo embossed here on the flap of the case. Well, it's a Pelikan so of course it's a good pen. It's not their BEST pen, but I'm happy with the way it writes and I am very happy to have the cartridge capability. So, I'm very happy with the purchase and I use it a lot. I'm just not overwhelmed with it, but oddly enough I enjoy using it because of it's utility! I am overwhelmed with Pen Chalet's customer service! It's THE best!

I am a lefty and have been using a Waterman LeMan100 for over 15 years. I wanted something a little more subdued as an every day carry. Saw this on Pen Chalet and the price was right and the service was excellent. The pen is quite nice, very understand and a little old-school, which I like. The pen posts nicely and the cap does not come off when posted. The pen writes effortlessly with the Edelstein ink. The ONLY negative and it is minor, is the weight. I was used to the LeMan, which is on the heavy side, the P205 is much lighter, but once you get used to it, it's great.
