About the Opus 88 Fantasia
The Opus 88 Fantasia fountain pen features both resin and ebonite in the design. Created as an eyedropper pen to hold more in, the pen has built in o-rings to keep the pen from leaking. The high-end eydropper system has been designed for optimal flow and no ink burping.
To fill the pen use the top of the cap to twist the end of the barrel and extend the piston. Remove the section and then fill the body with fountain pen ink. Replace the section, compress the piston and lock in place once again with the cap.

The Fantasia is an eyedropper fountain pen, so it comes with a glass eyedropper to fill the pen. And, of course, we have the Opus 88 Fantasia fountain pen. This is a little smaller than the other Opus 88 fountain pens that have the eyedropper system. It is more of a compact everyday carry type pen. It has a resin cap with multi colors on the cap, and the pen comes in different colors. This happens to be the teal color that has a teal translucent barrel. You can see the inside. You can see the mechanisms inside as well as the ink levels and it has silver-colored trim on the pen.
It also has a screwdriver shape on the top of the cap which is used to control the knob on the end of the barrel of the pen. To create a more compact pen a smaller knob is used. With the cap you unscrew the knob to release the piston mechanism inside when you fill the pen. Since it is an eyedropper pen, you remove the front section from the pen, and then you would release the the piston that is inside so that you can fill the body ink. You would then push that piston back up after filling the fountain pen. It's a small, compact pen, so without it posted, it's quite small, but the cap will thread onto the end of the pen and extend it to a nice, decent-sized pen.

Writes well, fills well, nice materials. Nib section has to be screwed in SO tightly to align with cap clip that I’m leaving it a little off. This is the case on two of the three Fantasias I’ve purchased. Quite “petit” but good size for pockets on summer shirts and the quirky color schemes get attention.

Not so keen on this pen unfortunately. Messy to fill and uncomfortable to write with. The screw thread for the cap sits right on your finger when writing. This one sadly, will be rarely used.

Purchased the black unit. The pen is a little short in length when not capped, but this pen is such a joy to write with. Inked with Krishna Orchids (lovely ink), the pen writes smoothly and maintains an even ink flow. As for some eye-dropper and non-eye-dropper pens, this pen has not created one ink burp or mess at all. This is an eye-dropper pen that can be confidently taken to work or school and perform admirably. The small valve/screw at the back is a peace of mind safeguard for unwanted ink leaks in the cap... in my experience anyway.
