The Montegrappa Parola fountain pen is an homeage to the importace of the word. The Italian Parola means word. Thanks to spoken or written word, mankind has progressed into a more refined and educated society.
The Montegrappa Parola fountain pen comes in several colors, each with rhodium plated accents. Its perfectly shaped resin barrel and cap make it an attractive writing instrument. Designed with an exceptional polished stainless steel nib that makes writing a pleasure. Each pen comes with a converter and one cartridge ink included.

Included with the pen we have two ink cartridges. Then of course we have the Montegrappa Parola fountain pen. This is the black version of the pen with chrome accents.
On the top of the cap we have a cone shaped resin that has a jewel look to it with a chrome top to the cap. On the front side of that cap we have the Montegrappa logo in black engraved into the cap. It has a chrome clip with a small roller on the front end of the clip. It helps get the pen in and out of the pocket easily. Then on the bottom of the cap is a chrome ring.
On the bottom of the barrel we have a chrome tip. Print on the bottom of the chrome cap is the year 1912 with other leaf designs.
The cap on this pen unscrews. You can post the cap on the pen if you choose. You can see the threads here where the cap screws on. It has another chrome ring on the front of the nib section.
The pen has a unique nib shape with the Montegrappa logo engraved on it. This happens to be an extra fine nib. A stainless steel nib comes with the pen.
To change the ink on this pen we unscrew the nib section from the barrel. Included with the Montegrappa Parola is an ink converter so you can use bottled inks or the included ink cartridges. You can also purchase other cartridges if you want different color inks.

Montegrappa Parola Video Script
This is the Montegrappa Parola fountain pen. It comes in a blue cardboard box. It has a honeycomb style pattern printed throughout the box with the Montegrappa logo here on the top as well as the end of the box. This cardboard box slides off and inside we have another box containing the pen as well as information instructions about Montegrappa as well as the fountain pen itself. This box that holds the pen or the case for it is an interesting shape. It also has that same honeycomb pattern as well. It has a clam shell style lid which has a magnetic closure on it to keep it closed. It also has the Montegrappa logo on the underside of the box lid. And the interior of the box is a nice soft grey velvet material.Included with the pen we have two ink cartridges. Then of course we have the Montegrappa Parola fountain pen. This is the black version of the pen with chrome accents.

I have a over dozen Montegrappas, including two Parola pens. They are solid, weighty, comfortable to write with, and the fit and finish are superb. The nibs are challenging, however.
The medium writes like a very dry extra fine, and a broad that I just purchased writes like a dry medium-fine. Both are about a size smaller than listed (at least) and have lots of feedback, but not the pleasant kind like an Aurora, more scratchy than pencil-like. I was hoping that the first pen was an aberration, but the challenging nib appears to be consistent with the Parola pens.
The Parola has a different nib design other Montegrappa pen models, which do not have the flow/size/scratchy issues. This nib design just doesn’t work for me.
