I've been eyeing this pen for a while, so glad I gave in and purchased. I love Montegrappa pens, though not their price so much. This one is beautiful, much more so in person. Looks very yellow online but the orange and light and dark grays are beautiful together. Usual nice, thin and smooth nib and an easy converter. A bit pricy but a beauty, especially if you love these colors.

I purchased the Montegrappa Fortuna Grigio Arancio fountain pen (fine nib) because I was looking for a bright and unusual yellow pen, and even though the pen body is orange, it has a lovely mix of color with the grey and silver accents which I find very appealing. The pen is on the chunky side, and the thickness of the barrel is not the most comfortable to write with for any length of time. However, it is also a very light-weight pen. I find when I post the cap the pen feels out of balance. The nib can also be scratchy if writing quickly. The most disconcerting thing was the pile of plastic shavings that came out of the barrel after I unscrewed it to fill the ink chamber. Not what I was expecting from Montegrappa, a company that supposedly prides itself on attention to detail. Consider these factors against the cost of the pen if you are contemplating a purchase -- this pen does not live up to my expectations.
