About the Delta Unica
The Delta Unica fountain pen is made from a pearlized resin with chrome accents. The pen is handcrafted in Italy by Delta's Skilled artisans. Due to the pearl resin each pen is unique with it's own distinct shimmer and finish.
Choose from blue, fuscia, or white resins. Pen Chalet also offers a special edition blue with gold colored accents. The Delta Unica comes with a stainless steel nib in either fine, medium or broad and an affordable price tag. The pen accepts a standard universal ink cartridge or converter.

This pen has a pearlized resin. You can see light glistening off the cap and barrel of the pen. It's different on each, as you rotate the pen, you're going to get different light glistening off the pen. Pretty basic top to the cap. There's no medallion or logo on it, basic clip as well. It just has a small roller at the end of the clip, and then at end of the cap, or the bottom of the cap, you can see the DELTA ITALY is engraved, a small chrome-colored band. And then just a plain resin end of the barrel, nothing really fancy there.
The cap is threaded and unscrews. It can easily be posted on the pen. Kind of medium-sized pen, so I think I'd prefer to write with the cap posted, but you can write without as well. You can see, once again, that small chrome band that separates the barrel from the grip section. The grip section is just that matching pearlized resin throughout the rest of the pen.
Then the nib on the pen has this honeycomb pattern or design on it with a Delta logo. You can see the feed there on the back side of the pen.

Delta Unica Video Script
This is the Delta Unica Fountain Pen. The pen comes in a black, faux reptile leather. It's a clamshell style box with a lid that lifts open. Included with the pen is the Delta warranty information as well as a certificate of authenticity for the pen. And the bed of the pen is a soft velvet. It's a tan color interior with the Delta logo printed on the top of the underside of the box lid, "FINE writing INSTRUMENTS since 1982". Included with the pen is a standard universal ink converter, so if you want to use bottled inks, this is included with the pen. I really wanted to like the white Unica I purchased, but unfortunately, it had some serious flaws. First, the medium nib is quite wide, almost like an italic, while also having a bit of a baby's bottom. When filling up the pen via the nib, water and ink found its way in between the plastic that holds then nib and feed, and the white outer layer. This action stained the inside of the white material while also eating away at the glue. Eventually, the white grip portion completely separated. I would not recommend this pen.

Bought this for Fountain Pen Day in 2016. I was so excited to have a "fancy" pen! It arrived with a poorly cut nib - the slit was off-center. I didn't even ink it up to try it. Ron happily took it back for service, replaced the nib. And it writes, although it's pretty wet with any ink I've tried so far. Now (3 months old) the glue holding the body of the pen to the grip has turned to dust. Extremely bad experience - if this isn't typical quality for Delta, then the QA on the budget line (Unica) must be just about zero. Not sure I'd take another Delta for free. But, PenChalet has great prices and Ron was very helpful, so there's that.

I really like this pen. The blue body color has a swirl effect that gives it depth. It's a very attractive pen. It is a nice smooth wet writer right out of the box.

The finish in this pen is absolutely stunning. It is sturdy but very light weight.The nib is surprisingly smooth and it lays down a heavy line.
