The original Israel 50 collection was introduced 10 years ago to celebrate the declaration of independence of the nation of Israel in 1948. The Israel 60th Limited Edition fountain pen celebrates the 60th year of this event.
The clip on the Israel 60th Limited Edition fountain pen is made from .925 sterling silver and reproduces the Yad, a hand pointer used for reading the Torah. The 2 spheres on celebration clip are covered in diamonds.
A Samech, the 15th letter of the Hebrew alphabet is on the top of the cap representing 60. A center band of sterling silver is adorned with a Menorah, the symbol of the state of Isreal as well as tow olive tree branches which are a symbol of peace. There are also multiple Stars of David around the band.

Included with the pen, we have informational instructions about the pen. We have a hologram certificate of authenticity as well as information about Delta and the use and care guide for the pen. Also included with this pen is one bottle of fountain pen ink. Then on the side of the box we have a small compartment of the box. It has a Plexiglas top held on by two bolts. These bolts have the Delta logo on the top.
The Plexiglas top simply comes off, and inside we have the Delta Israel 60th Anniversary Fountain Pen. This is the limited edition version of the pen. Now at the top of the pen we have the Samech which is the 15th letter of the Hebrew alphabet. It represents 60. We have a sterling silver clip representing the Yad. Yad literally means hand. It's used when reading the Torah. You would use this as a pointer instead of pointing and touching the script with your finger, damaging the paper. On the center band, we have a nice broad band with the Menorah as well as two olive branches, which the olive branches symbolize peace and the Menorah is the state symbol of Israel. Around the band, we have the Star of David several times. The barrel of the pen has some marble light and darker bands of blue. We have a small chrome band with a black end to the barrel. The cap on this pen unscrews. It's a large pen. It's quite wide as well as long. You can use this pen with or without it posted. If you like to post it you can do that as well. The nib section is a black resin nib section. We have a small chrome band running around the pen here. It has an 18 karat gold nib. Printed on the nib is the Star of David.
This pen is a cartridge converter style pen. To change the cartridge or converter, or to add ink to the pen, we simply unscrew the nib section from the barrel. Included with then pen is an ink converter. You simply dip the nib into the bottle of ink and you can draw ink into the converter changer. This is a great pen. It's a unique pen.
