Conklin 1898 Limited Edition Orion Fountain Pens

The Conklin 1898 Orion Limited Edition Fountain Pen pairs Conklin’s vintage-inspired 1898 design with a spectacular new custom resin from Jonathon Brooks. Limited to just 198 fountain pens, Orion is a striking collector’s edition filled with color, depth, and unexpected flashes of light.

The custom Jonathon Brooks Orion resin swirls deep navy and near-black tones with vivid ribbons of turquoise and aqua. Shimmering, iridescent areas appear throughout the darker resin, while occasional flashes of warm gold catch the light for added contrast. The pattern shifts dramatically as the pen is turned, giving each piece its own arrangement of color and movement.

Polished silver-tone trim provides a cool complement to the resin. The Conklin 1898’s distinctive details include the brand’s rocker-style clip and an ornate center band featuring a vintage-inspired pattern and the year 1898, a nod to the company’s long history in American penmaking.

The fountain pen is fitted with a German-made #6 JoWo stainless steel nib and uses a standard international cartridge/converter filling system. A threaded converter is included for filling from bottled fountain pen ink. The threaded cap can also be posted for writers who prefer additional length while writing.

With only 198 fountain pens produced, the Conklin 1898 Orion Limited Edition brings together the familiar character of the 1898 platform and the distinctive material artistry of Jonathon Brooks in a resin that rewards a closer look from every angle.
