Designed by Franco Clivio, the Lamy Pico ballpoint pen is an innovative pocket pen. This compact pen transforms into a full size ballpoint pen with its sophisticated push mechanism.
The compact Lamy Pico transforms with a push of a button from 3.5 inches to 4.75 inches making it ideal to carry in a pocket, purse or bag. The unique lift mechanism not only extends the pen but the writing tip as well. Another press of the finger and the Lamy Pico contracts once again to its convenient carry size.
Each Lamy Pico comes with an anti-roll device with the Lamy logo on the side of the barrel to keep it from rolling off the desk or table.

The box lid slides off and inside included with the pen is the warranty policy for the Lamy Pico. Of course, we have the Lamy Pico ballpoint pen. It's pretty simple, just a bullet shaped pen with a matte finish on the pen. On this end of the pen, you can see the ballpoint refill is inside the hole where it comes out. It also has a black small band between the cap and the rest of the barrel of the pen. Then on the barrel of the pen is a small Lamy logo. You can see that's raised off the side of the pen. It keeps the pen from rolling when you set it down. It's a nice feature, keeps it from rolling of the edge of the table.
This is the end where you compress to extend the refill of the pen. The neat thing about the Lamy Pico pen is its small, compact shape makes it easy to carry in your pocket or your purse or wherever you're going. Great on-the-go pen. But once you press for the refill to extend, you can see the refill extends out this end, but this end of the barrel also extends out about an extra inch. It gives you a little bit longer pen for writing so it's a more comfortable size pen. But then when you compress it, it compacts, makes it nice and small to carry. Great design, I really like it.
I like the way that it writes and the design of that. This end of the cap or end of the barrel comes off and inside we have a Lamy M22 ballpoint refill. Another Lamy pen cleverly designed and engineered. It’s the perfect small pocket or purse pen that telescopes from compact to almost “normal” size. It’s a good writer. They make great gifts, because even fountain pen advocates need a ball point pen from time to time

I recently purchased a white Lamy Pico ballpoint pen at Pen Chalet along with an ink refill and a couple other items. The design of the pen is ingenious and I find it very easy to use and pocket. It is a bit chunky. I wish it could fit in the pen loops of various notebooks that I have. Overall, I really enjoy using the Pico.

Love Lamy fountain pens but haven't really tried their balllpount pens. Thought this one might be good but was afraid it would be too small, as it's a pocket pen. Bought it anyway. Just the right size! So much fun to use. It's a wonderful pen. Great design. Very reliable writer. I use it all the time. So happy I took the risk. Only problem: people always trying to borrow it in a permanent sort of way!
