About Paestum Delta Paestum
The Delta Paestum Limited Edition rollerball pen celebrates the extraordinary artistic and cultural heritage of ancient Paestum through an intricately detailed design inspired by the temples, artifacts, and enduring symbols of Magna Graecia.
Originally founded as the Greek city of Poseidonia and later known as Roman Paestum, the ancient settlement provides the inspiration for virtually every element of the pen. Delta hand-turns the Paestum from a solid bar of special resin featuring layered blue and beige tones reminiscent of the Mediterranean Sea, surrounding sands, and weathered stone of the Archaeological Park of Paestum.
Decorative bands transform the pen into a visual narrative of the historic site. Near the top of the cap, details recall the imposing Temple of Neptune, while a second band at the base of the cap incorporates elements from the famous frescoes of the Tomb of the Diver. The iconic Diver is one of the most significant surviving examples of Greek painting and has become a powerful symbol of transition, knowledge, and the mysteries beyond the familiar world.
The barrel continues the historical theme with a decorative band depicting olive branches associated with the ancient Greeks, accompanied by finely engraved traditional Greek motifs. Every metal component is finished in 24-karat gold plating, providing an elegant contrast against the sea-and-stone inspired resin.
The concept for the collection originated with Gianluca Vinciguerra, a longtime specialized retailer of fine writing instruments in Salerno, Italy. Together with his wife, Annarita, he envisioned Paestum as a tribute to the extraordinary history, art, and cultural identity of the region.
Only 288 individually numbered Delta Paestum rollerball pens will be produced worldwide.
Designed for writers who appreciate the convenience of a rollerball without sacrificing the artistry and presence of a fine writing instrument, the Delta Paestum Limited Edition rollerball turns an everyday act into a connection with one of the Mediterranean world’s most enduring cultural legacies.
