The next model in the Universe series, the Sailor Pro Gear Slim Blue Dwarf fountain pen has been modeled after a Blue Dwarf star or the concept of a star yet to be born. The blue barrel comes with sparkles integrated into the resin and finished with silver trim.
Each Sailor Pro Gear Slim Blue Dwarf fountain pen comes fitted with a rhodium-plated 14k gold nib and is available in all seven of Sailor's nib sizes. The pen uses a cartridge converter filling system. Limited to only 1,500 pens worldwide.

I wanted to try a true Japanese fine nib, and after some internal debate I decided that the cerulean blue with sparkles in this Blue Dwarf design were too attractive to pass up. The pen does not disappoint. It is a bit petit when use unposted. Even posted I think that it might be too small for someone with large hands. I am a woman with about average female hands and it works fine. The writing experience does not disappoint. The fine nib is very fine. There is some feedback, but the pleasant kind. I would not call it scratchy at all which is quite impressive for such a fine point. I love fine points in general, and I was debating getting an extra fine. Maybe someday I will change my mind, but for now I can't really see a need for anything finer than this point. If you need to annotate documents in the margins, this fine point gives you a consistent and fine enough line to make that a breeze. Overall, very nice pen.
