Monteverde One Touch Stylus Tool Inkball Rollerball Pens Reviews

I ordered this pen (actually three of them, two as gifts) after listening to the discussion about it on The Pen Addict. I did hear the warning about not being able to post the cap. It is sort of a pain, and I find the screw-on cap a little "fussy". I do hope Pen Chalet will stock spare caps, because surely some will be lost. Overall, I like writing with the pen and I like the idea of using fountain pen ink in a rollerball. The pen is a little heavier than I would prefer, but overall I do like it.

I was delightfully surprised with the performance of this pen. I would buy it again.

The Monteverde Inkball pen works like a rollerball, but uses fountain pen ink in short international cartridges. You can also syringe-fill empty cartridges with ANY fountain pen ink for a a unique writing experience. I bought both the roller ball pen and the 0.9mm pencil. I was really after the pencil, because good 0.9mm are so hard to find these days. Both are excellent, but may not be for everybody, as both instruments are heavy. I happen to like heavy, so I'm happy. The roller ball is kinda funky, because it uses an ink cartridge refill, so it's a cross between a ball point and a fountain pen.
The supplier, Pen Chalet rocks! Delivery was prompt and error-free, plus they kept me informed on the progress of my order. For me, I would rate each category as "5-excellent", but have rated Functionality/Style/Value as 4 only because other people have their own values and personal preferences.
