Hey, it's a rubber air ball...Use it with the cleaner and you have an enema for you pen. It fits nicely over the nib portion of your pen, fill it with water or cleaner and let it go. It will flood out the pen and clean out all the ink. Do you need one? No. But man, it makes changing ink a lot easier. Dropping a couple of hundred bucks on a pen makes spending a few more dollars to clean a no brainer.
