Clairefontaine Triomphe Memo & Notebooks Reviews
Paper is VERY fountain pen friendly and a brillant white color. The pages tear cleanly off the pad... every time!

I got the lined notepad for letter-writing. The paper quality is excellent -- barely any show-through even with broader nibs, and all of my pens write very smoothly on it. It's great for showing off shading on ink colors.

I always keep a pad of Clairefontaine Triomphe at hand for all my letters. The paper is a little thicker and it feels nice. It also works well with most all inks, though it's not as good as Tomoe River at bringing out the best in your ink. I typically use "regular" inks (no/minimal sheen, shading) on this paper. Inks can shade on them, but not as obviously. If I write a longer letter, I'll take out the Tomoe so the envelope isn't as thick/heavy, but as long as it's within 3 sheets, it's not bad.

This paper is super smooth, love writing on it. Gives all fountain pens an excellent surface to perform their best. Excellent value IMO.

I've been using the Triomphe writing tablets for years because it's a pleasure to write on. The paper is very smooth and works with all the fountain pen / ink combinations I've tried on it.

Extremely smooth paper. Expect ridiculously long dry times. The advantage is that you can use your wettest italics and stubs with sheening and shimmering inks, and you get excellent results. The paper does not sheen quite as well as Tomoe River paper, but it’s close. It’s also thicker than Tomoe River paper, which is welcome. The blank pad comes with a lined guide sheet, which I like. This is a truly excellent stationary pad.
