Platinum Preppy Highlighter Fountain Pens Reviews

Preppy highlighter has been a great one. I've been using the standard cartridges, but have ordered a converter to use with bottled highlighter ink. LOVE the idea of refilling a highlighter without having to just buy new and throw so many away.

I got ever color of these preppy highlighters and I love them! The colors are great, I really enjoy the refillable cartridges and the ability to convert the highlighter to use bottled ink. I feel I've really upgraded my work supplies.

I have a couple of these Preppy pens, typically used as highlighters, not that it matters. If you get tired of using a Preppy as a highlighter switching it to be a fountain pen or standard marker is easy as can be with a simple swap of the nibs (sold separately). I'm not a fan of the fountain pen version but I LOVE LOVE LOVE the highlighters, because I can convert them to eyedroppers, fill them up with highlighter inks of my own choice, and then not worry about needing to refill them anytime soon. One eyedroppered Preppy highlighter would probably last from orientation to graduation for a bachelor's degree. I love that eyedroppering the Preppy or even using the converter in it makes it probably the most environmentally-friendly highlighter on the market. If you take care of it, this one highlighter can last for years, unlike all those disposables. Yes, you can refill Tombows or Stabilos, too, but neither of those has an option to let you replace the nib if it wears out, or exchange the chisel tip for another type of nib entirely for other writing uses. The versatility of this highlighter, and its environmental friendliness makes the Platinum Preppy the best highlighter, ever.

My grandchildren love these pens. They use them at school.

This does exactly what I need it to do. I converted it to an eyedropper and filled it with sailor highlighter ink. Now it highlights and looks cool doing it.

Why pay $2.95 for a highlighter? It's refillable, and the nibs are replaceable! And you'll be the only person in the room with this item. Get it!

I have the green and yellow highlighters. The included cartridges are great, but Pelikan m205 highlighter and noodlers highlighter inks are also great. These pens easily convert to eyedropper fill pens, and they look pretty good doing it. I love having these at work.

I also use one of these filled with Platinum Carbon Black ink as a “sharpie” of sorts, and really like it.

Because of the slip and seal cap, I never have drying out issues with this pen. Also, because of the felt tip, the pen does not have issues with burping.
