I have this pen in white and it has a simple, classic look. The broad nib is smooth with just a hint of
flex when pressed. With the discount provided by Pen Chalet, I do not think I could have gotten a better price.

I expected more for the price, even discounted. This pen lists for $200, but looks more like a Pilot Prera ($50), if that. It is a small and slender pen which I found too small for my hands. These are individual opinions; YMMV. Hard to get an idea of these sort of things when buying online.

Worse, though: the nib, out of box, was misaligned by a considerable amount. This is something that never should have escaped the attention of the QC people at the factory. My $15 Pilot Metropolitan beats the pants off this $200 pen in nib quality and smoothness. I had heard that Pelikan pens are known for such inconsistency in nib quality; now i've seen it firsthand.

None of this is the fault of Pen Chalet; they shouldn't have to inspect each pen they sell for such basic defects. As always, they are a pleasure to deal with.

I am a dedicated Pelikan fan. I lost my old 205 while on vacation and needed to replace it. It's my journaling pen! The 205 is a perfect combination of elegance and affordability and makes writing a joy. That combined with the half price sale and free shipping was unbeatable!

This pen almost writes by itself. I have the white pen with a broad nib. The only pen I have that writes better is the yellow DUO Highlighter which has a double broad nib. I got the ten percent discount and I am very pleased with the pen and its price. The pen arrived within 2 days. I could not ask for better service. Thank you, Pen Chalet.

I love this pen. The red color is a perfect far-eastern match. I'm afraid to carry this pen and display it in the general public. The pen holds lots of ink. The nib flows evenly and is very smooth. Even in the pocket, the pen is identifyable. I'm quite sure if it was uncovered in say a coffee shop or a cafe, time would stand still. All conversation would cease as all attention would suddenly be on the pen. Those German's sure know how to design a pen. It sits at home in the wide open and has become my journal pen.

I bought this pen in Extra Fine as my first Pelikan pen. The styling is fantastic and the fit and finish are superior. The only downside is that the nib is a bit on the scratchier side. I have a light hand and I have numerous EF pens so I was a bit surprised by the Pelikans performance.

Pros: Excellent Fit and Finish
Pen is very light and looks fantastic
The pen doesn't skip or hard start
Ink flow is very wet

Cons: Nib is a not very forgiving - the sweet spot is not very large on my particular nib

Overall, I still would buy this pen but be prepared to have to do some minor polishing to get it writing smoothly...
