I was afraid to try an eye dropper. But once I did. I just love it. The Omar is a juicy, smooth writer. I recommend this pen.

This is the 3rd Omas 88 Omar I have purchased. I like them because they are dropper filled and hold an enormous amount of ink! They are smooth writers and offer value for price! Highly recommend!

I really like the Opus 88 pens that I have acquired. I like the eye dropper filling system with the ability to close off the nib from the copious ink supply when not in use or flying. The size of the pen is perfect for me. I admired this particular style when I first saw it. In the hand it is even better.

I have found Opus 88 pens to be a fantastic value. The huge ink capacity of an eyedropper, with the safety of a shutoff valve. The nibs are always extremely smooth and perfectly tuned. Love the shape and colors of the Omar line. You really can't go wrong with this pen.

I I had high hopes for this pen but it was a big let down, wasn’t very wet more to the dry side on the nib . I wouldn’t buy another one.

The Omar Amber is my third Opus 88 pen, following the first and second editions of the Koloro. This pen is BIG. I like the filling mechanism and ability to close off the feed (great for flying). The nib is delightful to write with. I have Fine, Medium, and Stub (which is my favorite in this pen). The drawbacks are few, one of which is that the cap does not post. This may be an issue or not, as the pen is big enough for my large hands to use unposted, but my preference is for pens that post. The second is that the resin cap is deep, colorful, and a delight to look at. Unfortunately the pen does not have any of the cap’s treatment and is monotone brown with white end cap accents. I really wish the marbling of the cap was carried over to the pen in some fashion. Overall the pen is reliable, comfortable, attractive, and travels well. It’s a keeper.

I bought the Amber with 1.5mm stub and I love it! The Amber color is really nice looking. I personally like the contrast between the cap and barrel even though they are the same color (more or less). I also like the end finials in the ivory color. The nib is so smooth! Great writing experience out of the box. I inked it up with Diamine Ancient Copper; a really good match. The barrel holds plenty of ink even for use with the stub nib.
Definitely get it if you’ve been thinking about it.

Beautiful pen! Stub nib a little dry but with use should open up a bit.
