Opus 88 Koloro Fountain Pens Reviews

This pen feels really nice in hand and the length is not too long for my small hands. The Ebonite parts feel warm and the filling mechanism is very easy to use. Nib is smooth as expected of JoWo nibs however it has more spring than my other pens with the same nib brand.

One of my favorite pens now. I ordered a F and find it to be a smooth writer (once I remembered to open the bottom nob a bit.) it’s also quite beautiful. Highly recommended.

My "Blue on Blue" Koloro is now my workhorse pen. It wrote reliably out of the box. But for my taste, it was quite dry. It has a Fine nib. So I adjusted the nub to be wetter and now it is very good. It draws a slightly wider line now because it is wetter. As it came it would have been very useful for writing small numbers or characters in small spaces - but ( do not need to do that. I have no complaints about the pen at all. I like the ease of filling and the large ink capacity. I especially like the way the valve knob screws into the barrel. I do not worry about wear at that point at all. I am using Noodler's 54th Massachusetts ink and it behaves very well. I plan to do some air travel soon and I will test the sealing ability. If all goes well, I will probably order another of these with a different color and a medium nib.

This pen is worth every penny—and a lot more. Its nib is exquisitely tuned and buttery smooth. It is perfectly proportioned and balanced with cap posted or not. The eye dropper filling system is quite easy to use and the pen holds a tremendous amount of ink. Inkflow, thanks to the piston actuator, is flawless. But for a slightly wiggly clip and a threaded cap that takes too many turns to open, this might be the perfect fountain pen. Plus it looks damn good.

I purchased the orange Koloro with a B nib. Wow, it writes beautifully and I'm very happy with my color choice. Fast shipping from Pen Chalet as always!

One of the most dependable eye droppers I have ever used. Opus 88 is making some great pens. Love this eye dropper concept they have developed.

Really like this pen. Smooth nib and holds a ton of ink. Starts right up with no skipping and feels good in the hand either posted or not! I will agree with others that you need to get used to the number of turns it takes to remove cap.
