Ink capacity is great, the pen looks fantastic, and it is a nice size to hold.

I bought this to try Azizah's (of Gourmet Pens) "hack" of putting the Pilot Parallel nib on the Koloro Demonstrator. It is so much fun!

This pen is just a fantastic writer. I ordered mine with a broad nib, and it's hands down the smoothest, juiciest pen in my collection. The stopper that regulates ink flow is a nice feature. At first I wasn't sure quite what I thought of it, but now that I've had a few weeks to write with it, I really like how I can reduce the wetness by closing it up if I'm using paper that can't quite withstand a big, broad, gushing nib. But with paper that can stand up to all that ink...it's a writing experience like none other. I wouldn't suggest this pen with a broad nib as an EDC, but for journaling it's wonderful. It's my first Opus 88 pen, but I'll definitely be buying more. I'd also like to add that Pen Chalet packaged it with care and shipped it to me faster than I expected. I was very please with all aspects of this purchase.

A solid and stout, well made pen. I went with a broad since this thing holds a massive quantity of ink. The nib is smooth as silk and flows fantastically, and you barely need to contact the paper. My only negatives are the fine threads on the cap which look nice, but it takes four and a quarter turns to remove. The threads on the stopper knob are also very fine and tedious to open, but you don't have to do it for shorter writing sessions. I also wish the black finish on the clip was glossy instead of a flat finish, but that's subjective. I recommend this for those who are into demonstrator style pens, or just larger pens.

Everything about this pen suits my taste perfectly-a fat Demonstrator with a stub. Kudos to Opus for coming up with this pen. Before I forget, it is also a wonderful writer with just an iota of feedback. I gave it Below Average for functionality because of the number of times the cap needs to be rotated. Otherwise, this pen is solid.

Opus 88 as much as I tried to love this pen I truly hate it. I knew going into this purchase the cap was not post-able and I guess that is my pet peeve on using it. Then there’s the size “ladies” some think size matters but I don’t. If it works it works and if it doesn’t well it goes to collections (pen drawer). Fine nib and all that but not my cup of tea or in my case a bad beer.

Love this pen. The nib is finer than a Western Fine which I really enjoy. The amount of ink it holds is amazing. The build quality is excellent. It is big but I love larger pens.

Love the pen. Absolutely Beautiful and an extremely smooth writer. Note to you all who will use the piston feature regularly to stop the flow of ink into the feed. In my experience with Organics studios inks, it takes 3-5 minutes for the ink to begin flowing again, which can be annoying if you want to write right way. I'd leave it "unstopped" if you plan on picking it up over and over throughout the day to write.
