Opus 88 Koloro Demonstrator Fountain Pens Reviews

This gigantic pen is a beauty to behold especially in the clear color. The look and feel of the plan is soft and understated and classy. It holds a tremendous amount of ink and the flow controller Is a definite plus. I would recommend this pen for anyone looking for a large large pen with a justified high price tag

This is one of my favorite pens! It holds a ton of ink and looks great! I've had a shimmering ink in it for several months and have had no problems with it clogging or hard-starting. I may have to get another one! My only issue is the cap takes almost four complete turns to remove.

Be warned, this pen is huge! I think its the biggest pen I own now. I love the ink capacity of this eyedropper pen, and the fact that I don't have to worry about burping with the stopper knob. Great looking pen too. I like that clear, partially frosted acrylic. The nib is great. A little dry right now, but maybe I just need to break it in or use a different ink. It's filled with KWZ Flame Red right now I think.

I'm loving this pen, so beautiful, chunky but not too heavy. Looks great and writes wonderfully!

This is my favorite pen. I now find excuses to write. Holds a ton of ink. Writes very smoothly. It's very wet so use a minimum of 41 lb paper with it. The pen is also very attractive and comfortable. It does not post, but it would be too large if it did anyway.

I enjoy writing with this fountain pen more than I anticipated. I enjoy the simplicity of design and functionality. It is a wet writer. It dissembles and cleans up easily. I find myself looking forward to each and every writing and drawing experience, with the Opus 88 Koloro Demonstrator fountain pen.

The stunning appearance of this pen is surpassed only by its luscious feel. It is a beautiful writer and fits well in the hand.

This Opus 88 Koloro Clear Demonstrator is a fantastic pen! It is a big pen, both in girth and length. It is quite comfortable, but I do have large hands and prefer larger pens (Pelikan M1000, Visconti Homo Sapiens, etc.). The pen fills easily, but I used a syringe to get by the rubber stopper. That stopper works wonderfully, by the way. I took this pen on a trip and it didn't spill or leak a drop on the plane. Other pens were not as well behaved. Make sure to loosen the top every once in a while to let the ink flow while writing.
The only down side is that the pen does NOT post. It wasn't designed for that as the body and cap are the same size. This makes for a striking visual effect, but the casualty is posting the cap. I prefer to have a posted pen (don't like to set the cap aside), but the Opus 88 is big enough that a posted cap would make it unwieldy.
I purchased the 1.5mm Stub Nib option, and it writes like it should. The German nib is a Jowo, I beleive, as it is nearly identical to a 1.5mm loose nib I purchased.
I love this pen and will keep it in the rotation of daily writers.

At first glance the fountain pen is not impressive until it is filled with ink of choice and then it looks like a pretty magic wand. It holds a lot of ink! The nib writes smoothly out of the box. I’ve not had any issues subsequent to initial writing. Inks May stain the inside of the barrel.

One of my favorite pens. This nib is writes so silky smooth it's such a joy to write with.
