Monteverde Ritma Fountain Pens Reviews
I liked this pen so much I bought a second one: this time blue.
I like a pen with heft in the nature of Mont Blanc or Waterman, and this one satisfied me in that regard. The magnetic air-tight cap is the first real innovation I have seen in a pen in years.

I don't mind the weight though I generally like the lighter pens. I do like the metal section better than I expected to, and the diameter of the section works well for me. It certainly looks different than all the other pens I have. After reading several other reviews concerning the converter popping lose causing leaks, I used a refilled Waterman cartridge (Long int'l) and stuffed a paper ball at the top of it to help prevent it slipping out of the section. Not sure it was needed, but for such a simple preventative step it just made sense to try. Writes pretty wet for an EF nib, with the Van Dieman's Eucalyptus ink included with this order.

Very nice pen. Need to handle with care to avoid scratching the metal finial at the bottom. Smooth writing and glide. Overall good price and product.

Disappointed in this pen. The nib is scratchy and the finger section is very wide for a female hand. It isn't very comfortable to write with.

MV has been a bit of hit and miss with me, but this one was a hit. i love this pen a whole lot. i have a big magnet on my lamp and i like to leave the pen hung up on it for whenever i need a pen. it's so beautiful and the cap gives such a satisfying clack. getting this on special was such a great deal for a beautiful pen.

Excellent pen. Has become attached to my journal. Great value, not so expensive that, should I lose or damage it during my bustling about, I would be heartbroken. Writes well, maybe a little wetter than average.

Purchased the red in EF. I love the way this pen looks. It also feels good. Heavier than most pens, but I like heavier ones. It writes well, nice smooth feeling. The only issue I have is that when I start a new word, sometimes the ink doesn’t flow right away. Once it starts it will be great. But the flow does stop every few words. The ink I am using is diamine. Not sure if it could be the ink,

I now know to look at the WEIGHT of pens I purchase! I was sucked in by the magnetic cap. The cap IS nifty, and the pen writes really well. BUT... It's REALLY heavy to me. It weighs almost 1.75 oz. I didn't think it would make much difference, but oh, it does. It's not large, but it's oh so heavy!!
It does write very nicely, especially with the Monteverde Passion Burgundy ink I have in it. I'll have to decide if the writing is worth the WEIGHT, haha.
