Monteverde Giant Sequoia Fountain Pens Reviews
Love the size and weight of this pen! I use it everyday and inked it with green to match the pen color.

An attractive and well made pen that is worth more than its' price. The only issue with my brown version was that it had misaligned tines on the fine nib, but after correction it is a very nice writer, with good flow and no hard starts. The material is gorgeous, and I appreciate the high quality screw-in converter. This pen is a bargain, but note that my ratings are AFTER I fixed the nib problem.

I absolutely love this pen. The colors on a computer screen do it no justice. The overall weight and balance are perfect for my needs. would highly recommend this pen

I'm a little skeptical about Monteverde and Conklin, both of which are owned by Yafa. My first thought when unboxing the pen was "this doesn't look great." The pen is shiny, but it does not look like an expensive pen (of course, it's not an expensive pen). The patterns don't match up between the barrel and the cap, or between the barrel and the section. The nib looks nice, but not great.
I inked up the pen and was concerned about how scratchy the nib felt. However, I like the size of the pen in my hand (it is a large pen).
I have used almost a whole converter's worth of Diamine Espresso. The nib feels smoother just from daily writing.
In fact, I have adopted this pen as a daily writer because it feels so good in my hand.
So, from going from initial disappointment (or at least skepticism), I can give this pen a big thumb's up. It feels very nice in my hand, and the nib continues to become more well-behaved.

Started out as a disappointment, but with minimal adjustment (I'm brand new to fountain pens so can't do more than minimal yet) it has become my favorite pen. It was originally a very dry writer but I loved everything else about it, the color, the length, the thickness and the feel of it in my hand. The pictures don't do it justice, it's much prettier in person. I love it so much I bought a green one to keep my brown one company. Great pen for the money.

Love Monteverde pens. I bought the green and it is big and beautiful. Put Monteverde Emerald Green ink in it and writes like a dream. Great value.
