This is a physically beautiful pen with a nice hard nib that runs a bit fine for a medium (more in line with the Japanese medium nibs.) The Pen Chalet exclusive black-toned trim is quite handsome.

I've been a fan of the Momento Zero for a short while and have managed to collect a number of different finishes. However, I was stopped in my tracks when I saw the Pen Chalet exclusive Alga with Black Trim. I initially I thought the promo pictures might be a bit flattering but in real life the pen is even more beautiful. The body of the pen is a fantastic and the trim adds an element of sophistication. With only 250 pieces available the exclusives are sure to be in great demand.

I am enjoying the Leonardo Exclusibe Momento Zero. It is a really smooth writer and I enjoy the lighter weight. I love the orange in the orange and black pen.

Since receiving this pen a couple of weeks ago I have used it a lot. My impressions are the pen is a delight to look at and I enjoy the classy understated look of the pen. It is well made and fits nicely in the hand making for a comfortable writer. As for the writing, mine is an extra fine and it is smooth to write. However, it did not write after inking it the first time out of the box. Once I finally got it writing it would periodically hard start and skip. Finally, emptied the ink, cleaned and soaked nib/feed in soapy water overnight and flushed with bulb syringe. It writes great now and have not had any further problems with hard starts or skipping.
Overall love the pen, but being my first premium fountain pen it was a little disappointing that I had to mess with it so much to get it to write well.

Beautiful pen! The first one I received had a very scratchy nib that would skip a lot. I let Pen Chalet know and they quickly sent a new pen, which is flawless. Very smooth writer and comfortable to hold.
