Lamy Ink (50ml) & Pink Safari Fountain Pens Reviews

I bought this pen to see if I want to spring for a much more expensive one. I bought the italic nib and I absolutely love it. I have nothing bad to say about it.

My third fountain pen and it's a joy.

I've purchased several Safari's in different colors and nib sizes. They're a great gift to introduce friends and family to fountain pens. The italic nib is great for Christmas card writing. The Pen Chalet's great customer service and prices can't be beat.

I absolutely love this pen. I had been coveting it for a while, and finally I bought it on Fountain Pen Day, so the price was excellent. I went with the italic nib, as most of my other pens are fine/extra fine. It is a pleasure to write with, I love the line variation. I'm a science teacher & have black tables in my room, so I love that the pen doesn't get lost. The broader nib is also perfect for writing under my document camera.

Excellent pen from Lamy. The Safari is a good all-around pen for beginners and experts alike. Really great price with the discount. Can't go wrong with this Lamy product.

Got the wide italic nib for a dedicated BayState Blue pen. For that, it is great. If this were my only pen, I would be disappointed. It is worth more than its price-point when on sale, but I have a fondness for higher quality.

This was my first purchase of a Lamy pen. I heard positive comments of the Safari on various episodes of the Pen Addict and when they mentioned the special offers using the Pen Addict code I decided to order one. This was also my first experience with an Italic nib. I am very pleased by how this pen feels and writes. The color choice was not one I normally would have selected but the price overcame that objection. My initial thoughts were to purchase and load the pen with a highlighter ink but the more I wrote with it the more I felt that this is a greater everyday writer and is now part of my regular rotation. I would highly recommend this pen. It is a wonderful value.

This is a nice pen. The fine nib writes well and smooth. It posts pretty good. It's tight, but not too tight. The stowage position is a bit iffy. It would be better if there was a more definitive feeling upon closing the cap on the body. I splurged for the converter. Cheap at twice the price.
The sale price of this pen was excellent. Along with 10% off it was a great deal. Kind of a fun thing, it was a hit at the weekly meeting.
