Kaweco AL Sport Special Edition Fountain Pens Reviews
I bought this pen even though I already had a red AL Sport. However, the red one I already had is a true, deep, red color. Like a blood red. This Ruby AL Sport is different. It has a tiny hint of pink in it, just like a real ruby. It's prettier in person than it appears online. I got it with a BB nib, and it writes beautifully. Kaweco nibs used to be too dry; that was back around 2015 - 2016. But this one writes very nicely; not dry at all. Kaweco has improved their nibs and/or feeds in recent years, and now their feeds keep up with their nibs, even in their stubs. I am very pleased with this pen and happy I bought it. I have lots of AL Sports, and this is a nice addition to my collection.

This is my first Kaweco, and the first impression is excellent. The fit and finish of the product is stunning, and this steel M nib writes smoother than Pelikans’. If you like a converter, get the mini since the standard will not fit. Excellent service from Deb at PenChalet who sent a no charge replacement. The $3 clip looks excellent, though it may need a squeeze to make it tighter.
My only criticism is that the pen is a bit small for my small hand. My fingers end up on the cap grooves, and it’s tough to hold comfortably for extended daily use. If you like the Sport, this Espresso is sure to please. Thank you. Eric

The violet Kaweco is a great color in an excellent pen. I didn't NEED another Kaweco, but I'm glad I got this one.
The double-broad nib isn't actually that terribly broad. It writes nice and smoothly, with usual Kaweco quality.

First, my one quibble: I'd call the vibrant violet more violet plum. To me, violet has a more blue undertone, and plum has a golden/reddish undertone. Vibrant violet sounds more catchy, though. That's the worst thing I have to say about this pen.
As far as factual things go: The Kaweco mini piston converter didn't fit. However, the Kaweco squeeze converter does fit.
Now for the positive: It's a lovely pen, just as nice as any Kaweco AL sport. The color is beautiful.

A beautiful pen to write with. The finish is very tactile and feels solid in the hand. The size is perfect for being a true pocket pen.

A nice limited Al Sport.
The dark matte brown matches very well with the gold nib.

I absolutely LOVE my Golden Espresso Kaweco. This pen has become my new favorite. Very well-balanced and comfortable in my hand while writing. And I just love the color.
