I chose this pen because of its rich looks. Indeed, when I received it, the luxurious look and feel of the herringbone finish is wonderful. It writes very smoothly and has a nice substantial weight to it which I value.

I got the Navy Blue when it was on sale. I only had one other Conklin and I wasn’t fond of it due to the subpar omniflex nib but I wanted to give it a second chance.
I got this with a fine nib and it wrote beautifully and smooth. I actually accidentally placed it into my pen storage case for 2 weeks before I remembered it was inked again and it seems to have a sweet spot I didn’t notice the first time around. It’s probably punishing me for forgetting it.
So far, I’m pretty pleased with this pen! Plus, it looks quite nice.

I bought this with the "free ballpoint" which I haven't used yet. The fountain pen is fantastic. Flow is great with Noodlers American Eel black and it doesn't dry out if I don't use it for two or three days.
In terms of aesthetics, the pen has a nice feel with the herringbone finish, the grey color is great, the engraving is well done. It's a very attractive pen. It has a nice weight as well. The nib is two color and nicely done.
The only thing I would change is to be able to thread the cap to the body to post it.

Well built, writes beautifully, but when capped, is extremely top heavy. I love the way it writes so I don't cap it.

These are nice pens. I have several of them, and they have not let me down yet. I have ordered the fine point and it is smooth and consistent. I enjoy writing with them.
