Can't be more pleased with this pen. Absolutely beautiful abalone shell barrel and cap with gold trim. Superb Conklin quality. Post cap? Sure because it actually screws on, securely held. Great value for money.

I love the body of this pen! The Abalone is beautiful. But, the nib (F) is not great. I had Diamine November Rain in there, and it would hard start, and skip, and I had to use way more pressure to get semi-consistent ink to page. Perhaps this is the wrong ink for this nib, not sure. But, I decided to send this pen off to a nibsmith to tune the nib to get a better ink flow and smoothing. To me, it's worth it because the Abalone body is so beautiful. But it's an added expense ($30) on top of an expensive pen. I couldn't recommend this pen if someone really needs/desires their pens to write well straight from the factory.

I love, love, love this pen! It looks amazing and writes smoothly. I pre-ordered it and it was worth the wait! Great product!

Beautifull pen no two ways about it. And to top that off it works well purchased mostly as a collection piece it has been filled one time and when it is empty it will live in a very special box with a glass top I will make that box from an exotic wood befitting the beauty of this piece thinking about getting the ball point and if available a pencil. to create a set...

The pen is quite nice and the shell is lovely and the Rose Gold is the perfect shade to complement the well cut shell. The Omniflex Nib however was Holy terror. Would not write at all even with Aurora Black, which will work in anything including a 10 penny nail. It took much tweaking to get it to work properly but fortunately I have have had many years practicing nib surgery and all turned out well. I also would have appreciated more attention to the position of the clip when posted - always a problem with threaded posting caps. Would I buy again YES, it is a beautiful pen, but with a different nib.

This is the most beautiful pen I have ever owned. I could gaze into the Abalone and rose gold all day while turning this pen over in my hands-- it is a perfect combination and a wonderful design! The medium nib writes more like a fine and is pretty hard, but it writes beautifully and reliably. I ordered a second one with a flex nib recently. I love this pen so much that I had to have a back-up/alternative one! This is the pen I do most of my writing with now.

Every bit as gorgeous as the photos. This is a solid, heavy pen.

Very Beautiful pen. I got the Flex nib. Post very secure with the threaded end. Does back weight it some, but I do prefer posting my pen unless I am just signing my name then I will hold the cap in my other hand. So hard to decide which ink to pair it with. For my first choice was the J. Herbin Emerald of Chivor. With the abalone you can use green, blue, purple with sheening or shimmer. I just wonder if you took the pen to say Sherwin Williams Paint Store and had their paint analyzer scan the pen what color it would come up with LOL.
