Lamy Replacement Fountain Pen Nibs Reviews

I ordered this 1.1 mm stub nib to replace a Lamy broad nib in my Lamy Safari pen. I'm in the minority, as I'm not a fan of the Safari. While it doesn't skip, the broad nib is very dry and makes every ink I've used in it look washed out. I like stub nibs (I have four in three other brands) for the line variation they produce. This stub nib, however, just writes like a wetter broad nib. There is no discernible line variation. Keep in mind, however, that the problem might be in the pen or feed. I don't have another Lamy pen in which to try this nib to see, so I can't rate it highly. It writes better than the original broad nib, but doesn't produce "stub nib" writing. For whatever the cause, I'm disappointed in its performance.

I bought this to use with my Safari and Al-Star. They are easy to swap around so I can write in a line width appropriate to the paper and type of writing I am doing.
