I purchased a flex nib for use in my Conklin pens. Changing out the nibs was very easy and I like this nib a great deal. It has some bounce and provides a modest line variation. The general feel is that of a medium nib but definitely less rigid. I wanted to try out a flex nib, and I found this a cost effective way to do so.

I have purchased two Conklin replacement nibs from Pen Chalet. I enjoy changing them out from time to time in my Conklin Duragraphs. These are quality nibs and work well in my Conklin Duragraph pens.

I put this in my Duragraph, and used Diamine Oxblood in it. I had a stub originally. This broad nib laid the ink down better but it caused the ink to have a drying time of 45 seconds to a full minute. There was no feathering or bleeding. This was on TR dot journal paper. However, with how the Oxblood came out the dark color being gorgeous, I’m okay with the drying time as I only use my journal for keeping my ink colors. However I tested drying time on a Crane envelope and the drying time was less than 10 seconds. I plan to try different nibs now.

I replaced an incredibly scratchy nib on a Duragraph with a black stub. It writes like a dream. It’s smooth, has good flow, and is a great looking nib.

Both black and rose gold flex nibs write well, basically a Fine with a tiny bit of flex.

Finally got my Conklin pen to write decently. Used this nib to replace the omni-flex nib that had a lot of ink flow issues. Would still like to have a decent omni-flex nib for my Conklin pen.

I enjoy using Conklin fountain pens. I changed put the Fine nib for the Broad nib on one of my Conklin Duragraphs as an experiment. It works beautifully. The nib was very easy to change with little effort.
