Sailor Jentle Bottled Ink(50ml) Fountain Pen Ink Reviews

This line of ink is the best, bar none. Never had a flow issue in any of my pens, and even performs well (and safely) in my vintage Esterbrooks. The range of colors are phenominal (I have 11 different colors), and my absolute favorite is Yama-dori. Many sheen and shade well, but the properties do vary a little from ink to ink. To bad about the just announced new bottles and price increase. I'm stocking up now!!!

Beautiful beautiful ink. If you like Noodler’s Apache Sunset you will love this ink. Phenomenal shading, especially in my Neponset. One of my favorite inks.

The Sailor Jentle Ultramarine is a wonderful color. It's not blue or purple or violet or ... but it jumps off the page with authority and my pen loves it. Smooth flowing, it makes a sometimes dry nib very wet. I've used it on a number of papers, and it's more saturating than shading, but that just makes it a great ink for business or taking notes, when you need optimum readability. Love it.

Okay, so I just had to order this after all the hype I read and seeing that it was recently reintroduced to our market here in USA. No sense recreating the wheel: it is all it's cracked up to be. Check out all those awesome blogger reviews. I will relate the following: I have this inked in a Pelikan M600 red stripe pen outfitted with an Extra-Fine 585 gold nib. This pen is a wet writer and lays down a line more akin to a western fine or medium-fine, in my estimation, and is paper dependent. My point though is this; one can expect to get great shading and significant sheen with this ink even in the finer nibs.

Sailor sure makes some tremendous and affordable inks. For my taste, this is one of them along with Yama-dori. Along with Diamine's Syrah, this will be a staple red ink for me. Hats off to Pen Chalet for not only stocking this stuff but putting it on sale too.

Really good ink would buy again

I read many reviews and they were right the ink is really dark and is smooth on any paper I've used highly recommend.

This, in the swatch and in the bottle is blue, very deep blue. I admit that my writing is not on expensive paper, but when this dries, the blue yields to that indigo/violet place and has become an inspiration for me to try rainbow writing. Letters answered, each letter done in a different color of ink. It's a gift, not only to the receiver of the letter, but to all the people who handle the letters from my place to yours.

Product was exactly a described.

Sailor inks just might be the best overall ink. It flows well and never gives me any issues with any of the pens I use in it.
