I bought this ink for a new-to-me vintage Parker 45. Received the pen and ink today, inked up the Parker 45, and proceeded to write several pages in my Clairefontaine notebook. This Quink is just what I wanted in a blue/black, and it's behaving beautifully so far in my vintage pen. Classic color in a classic pen for a bargain price. I should have bought 3 bottles!

The pens I use are almost entirely vintage ones. I was fond of Parker's blue-black Quink as it was in the 1980s, but the current formulation is too teal in color for me. So I'm mixing my own, using blue Quink and black Quink in a 5:1 proportion.
The result is not exactly what the ink was 30 years ago (as best as memory serves) but it's a good blue-black, which is admittedly a hard target to hit. Most BBs are too blue, too light, or too gray. The above proportions work well for me.

This is probably a biased review since I have never used anything but Quink ink. It has worked well in my pens for over 30 years and I have not felt a need to change. The service at Pen Chalet was very good. Items arrived well packaged and on time.
