I have seen samples of this ink...Looked darker to me...In my pens seems lighter although I like blue black inks over just blue or black. Still nice though.

I don't use cartridges, but I bought these to try to convert some family members into being fountain pen lovers. I thought this would ease them in. I don't really think it worked, but the cartridges did the job they are supposed to do. If you are looking for a no hassle way to change ink out this will do it.

Overall Diamine is my favorite brand of inks. They have a great selection of colors and perform well. I've never had any problem with any of the Diamine colors I've used in any of my pens. I usually use bottled inks and a converter, but I have one pen that is too small for a converter. These work very well in it. These are international standard size cartridges which many fountain pens accept. Some brands, however, only take their brand and size of cartridge and converter. As long as these fit your particular brand of pen, I recommend them without reservation. They are reasonably priced, too. I bought the Imperial Purple which I like.
