J Herbin Smooth Frosted Glass Dip Pens Reviews
This is my go to pen for writing out with my inks for samples. I'd probably use it all day every day at work if it was a little more practical. I will likely buy the rest of the colors.

I bought this for testing ink samples, so I bought this economy version. Now I wish I would have bought the more expensive versions that have more colors, but most importantly, a thicker grip. I was able to solve that problem by purchasing a short section of silicone tubing at the local hardware store and slipping it over the too-thin barrel. It writes well, and probably just as well as the more expensive versions. Sometimes style is quite important, even in something that is supposed to be purely functional.

Very nice pen. A little broad for my taste but still nice none the less.

I have never written with a glass dip pen, so this became a relatively inexpensive experiment. It has a bit more tooth than I prefer, but I look forward to taking the time to use this extensively in the future!

Great glass pen! I use it to test inks and being a FP newbie, it helped a lot to get a grasp on ink. It is a bit thin to hold, and I always get ink on the "ball" part since I use it to dip straight into the sample vials. Might be best to pour into a wider dish/tin to get the ink if you rather not get ink all over your fingers.

If you've ever written with a no-name glass pen, you might have been unimpressed. Once you write with a Herbin glass pen, you'll throw all those in the bin, because the difference in quality is astounding. I wish I could say more, except that I stupidly dropped mine tip-down after a few days and shattered it. It's quality, yes, but it is still glass!

I love this pen. It's perfect for testing ink or just playing with ink you don't want to use all of the time.

I had problems with mine right away as it wrote very scratchy but after I smoothed it out, it wrote just fine and use it occasionally for testing new ink colors.

Like the name implies, this dip pen is "smooth". Holds a lot of ink too. Very happy with my purchase.
