The Kakimori stainless steel nib is designed for a 45-degree writing angle and will comfortably write a sentence or two with each dip in a standard ink.
Brass: The Kakimori brass nib is made from raw brass. The brass will deepen in color and develop a unique patina as you use it.

How to Use the Kakimori Nib:
The Kakimori nib is designed to be inserted into a nib holder (Kakimori nib holder or another standard nib holder). Dip the metal nib in a bottle of ink and run the nib across paper as you would any other pen or fountain pen to write, sketch, or draw. To enjoy different line widths, simply tilt the nib at different angles. To remove the Kakimori metal nib from your nib holder, pull it out gently while turning it to avoid dislodging the nib mount in the nib holder. To prevent the build-up of dry ink in the grooves, rinse your nib frequently in water.
Kakimori nibs are perfectly paired with Kakimori nib holders (sold separately), but the Kakimori nibs are made to universal specifications and fit in standard nib holders.

Wow! What a totally fantastic surprise. From thin to thick lines this nib will do the job. Love using this nib. Places all the weight in the front where I can control everything. Am dedicating one of my sketch notebooks only for this Kakimori dip nib pen. I have a habit of when I find anything great I will buy a back up or two. This will definitely be 2 more!

A nice nib, but being a clunky lefty I’m not terribly facile when writing trying to maintain a uniform line. Easy to clean so I can jump around easily from ink to ink.

I bought this really out of curiosity to see how different it would be compared to normal glass and/or metal dip pens. I put it into the wood Kikimora wood pen, and the nib and pen fit really well. The male/female parts are rubber(?) and have a tight seal. Now the nib I kept dipping because I am so used to having ink where I can see it, but this nib "absorbs" the ink in the lines and holds it there. The 1st time I wrote with it, as trial and error for 1st time use, did have a teeny glob of ink, but after that, this pen held so much ink that I did not have to re-dip for almost an entire A4 size page. It wrote from any angle even straight up! I love this and really am glad that I decided to buy it. I have excellent glass dip pens: Rohrer and Klinger; J. Herbin, some from Etsy, and a few no-name brands. For me, I believe this will be my go-to dip pen. So if you have been thinking about this set, yes it is expensive, but I feel it is worth it myself.

This nib is fantastic. It's the best dip nib I've ever used. Holds lots of ink every dip. The SS version is better for writing and a finer line. The brass is good line variation.
