The Pineider Avatar UR Deluxe fountain pen has been made of a virtually indestructible UltraResin and a new glueless assembly. Finished in gold trim and matching 14k gold Quill nib. Pineider fountain pen nibs are Bock nibs made in Germany.
The Pineider Avatar UR Deluxe features a magnetic twist cap design with a cartridge converter filling system. The clip has been made of solid marine steel with an inner spring mechanism. Included is both a standard international converter and short international ink cartridges.

I purchased this pen after it had been returned by the previous purchaser. It’s taken me some time to get used to the extremely soft and pliable nib, but I love it! I would advise anyone who is thinking of purchasing a Pineider pen with gold flex nibs to understand that, if they’re fairly new to fountain pens, then these nibs take some getting used to - or they have me. I now have three Pineider pens, and I love all three although the stub pen has been the most difficult one to get used to (a different purchase). This Pineider pen has a fine nib, and I like it much better than the fine Asian gold nibbed pen I have. I expect my Pineider pens to last a long time because of their fine workmanship.

A beautiful pen! Its fine nib glides over a paper incredibly smoothly. No hard starts, no skips were noticed.

I got the abalone green. It is a beautiful color. The nib is gorgeous and behaved as expected. The Florence skyline was a bit less defined/detailed that what I thought it would be, but still nice. It has something inside of the cap with a less than appealing appearance; apparently is part of the closing mechanism that looks like a thin plastic lip with a thin wire.

Lovely pen body and amazingly bouncy, soft gold nib. Took me about a week to get used to writing with it, and I experienced some hard starts on vertical strokes. But after I changed inks and gave the pen some use for that week, I look forward to journaling & jotting with it often.
