The Esterbrook x BUNGUBOX Kachofugetsu Kingfisher Estie fountain pens pay tribute to the vibrant bird known for its jewel-like feathers and graceful flight along riversides. Crafted in the U.S. from DiamondCast resin, the body of the popular Estie pen model features a stunning interplay of deep teal, warm copper, and soft black—mirroring the iridescent elegance of the kingfisher in motion. Gold-plated trim and a matching converter complete the design, along with a special gold-plated nib engraved with the Japanese character for “bird" for a touch of added refinement.

Available in EF, F, M, B, Stub 1.1, the Kingfisher offers a writing experience as refined as its design.

Each release in the series is inspired by one of these elements and designed in collaboration with Kaoru Yamagishi, founder of BUNGUBOX, one of Japan’s most beloved pen boutiques. The Esterbrook x Bungobox Kachofugetsu collaboration's first release was "flower" inspired by the delicate cherry blossom. The second edition draws on another element of the poetic Japanese concept: the bird. Included in the new collection is a selection of accessories to truly celebrate this remarkable partnership.
