The Field Notes Original Kraft 3-Pack was the first Field Notes memo book. It comes with 48 pages that measure 3-1/2” wide by 5-1/2” tall. The memo book is is bound with a rugged three-staple saddle-stitch process and comes with a tan cover.

Great notebooks, but NOT usually fountain pen friendly. Depends on the ink and nib sizes you use. I would love it if Field Notes had something with Fountain pen friendly paper in it. If you use fountain pens with broad nibs this is probably not the best choice for you. Fine and medium nibs with say Noodlers x feather or black may work.

I don't generally like leaving negative reviews, but I honestly don't know why people like Field Notes paper. I can only imagine people who claim these are good for fountain pens are using the driest inks and driest, finest nibs ever. I prefer wetter nibs, at least medium if not stub, and I like to see what my inks can do! If all you have are extra fine and fine nibs, I suppose this paper will make your writing look thicker (but that's mostly feathering). Medium or above, and you risk bleed-through. Also no good for sheening inks. If you want decent cheaper fountain pen friendly notebooks, go for the Clairefontaine instead.

I like this. I have a passion for classic looking things and the way these notebooks take on a character when carried in the pocket. The old saying of not judging a book by its cover can be tossed when the book(let) is one of these. The cover itself tells a story of its own after use. I also use fountain pens, Lamy EF nibs so far and there has been no bleed through with any of the inks that I use.

Not the pages on the Field Notes Original Kraft Notebooks are not numbered. They come in either plain paper, lined or grid but none of them are numbered.
