The ink is more indigo black with some golden flecks. I had seen previous reviews so I knew it would be a dark ink- just not a black. This ink is very easy to use and I appreciate the beautiful packaging. I am currently writing with this ink in my Metropolitan and it is a smooth process and dries relatively quick. This is my first Ferris Wheel ink and I will certainly buy more.

I purchased all 3 of the Rabbit Hole bottle inks.
The boxes of the individual bottles inks are GRAND - TOP SHELF and just amazing.
These are a gift but I have looked at the inks and they are outstanding.

The style reminds me a little of the Kaweco Sport line of pens. It's sufficiently different so that there's no mistaking one for the other, but the vibe is there. I like it.

The quires are so well sewn that the book presents as flat almost every time it's laid on a surface, thus making a two-page drawing easily seamless. The ribbon marker is almost three-quarter of an inch wide, thus making it less likely to tear a page if used to open the book carelessly. Priced a little bit higher than some otherwise comparable sketch books, I think the price is justified for the quality.

What a gorgeous color! The bottle is gorgeous out of the box, and the design of the box is also lovely on a shelf. The ink flows well and is perfect for my various fountain pens and glass dip pens. I love it and will get more colors soon!

I love this beautiful sketchbook from Ferris Wheel Press, and am so happy to have a place to buy these beautiful books at Pen Chalet. It holds up to fountain pen ink, and is suitable for sketching, art journaling and collage, and light watercolor washes. I will buy more as they become available.
