Recorder Pen Chalet Edition
This is a fantastic journal. The Tomoe River paper is topnotch (of course). The binding and cover are firm and supple. Plus, the price charged by Pen Chalet made this an absolute steal.

This is exactly what I wanted, the heavier weight Tomoe River Paper (68gsm) bound into a book. The paper feels plush to write on after using a Stalogy for the last long while - more cushioned - and less show through by comparison. No bleed through except from an experiment in making an ink blot where I pressed the book closed very hard. The book is well made; I do wonder how long the elastic band will last. I have a red version with bright turquoise bookmark and elastic, a nice combo. I'm also noticing a tendency to not close flat but the elastic keeps it flat after I close it. The cover is a pleasant grippy texture. I like how the blank page version has come with a grid and rule insert. I also added a pen loop for extra functionality. this is my daily journal for taking everywhere I go and gets used for writing and sketching. I'd love a white version that I could personalise with sharpies!

This journal is the best! The paper has held up to ink blobs with no bleed through, it’s smooth as satin but has enough tooth to give just the right traction. Also the cover feels very luxurious despite its reasonable price point.

I love the paper in this notebook. It is the slightly thicker 68 gsm Tomoe River paper (as opposed to Tomoe River 52 gsm paper). It is one of the best fountain pen papers out there, IMO. Even though it is thinner than Rhodia or Clairefontaine paper, the show through is no worse than those papers. It is a quality notebook. For me, the only thing that would make it better is if the pages were numbered.

I love these notebooks. I've ordered a bunch of them in all the colors and styles. The Tomoe River paper lets my inks shine. It has an elastic closure, back pocket, and a bookmark. The bookmark is a little long, at least in the ones I've opened up this far. It's possible that was an off run of the notebook. I took a point off for that, but it's an easy modification. The only thing that would make the notebook "better" would be maybe about 30-50% more pages and a second bookmark.

I was planning to give this as a gift, but a bottle of ink broke in the package and so the notebook is still usable, but the paper is a bit warped. I'll be keeping it to use as a personal journal when I'm finished with my current one. It seems like a nice notebook.

Love it so far. Not sure why it's called Endless, as mine definitely comes to an end, but this has a good number of pages for the price. Personally love this 68 gram Tomoe paper over the thinner stuff.

I got the Pen Chalet Endless Recorder in blue, dot grid. I LOVE this journal!! The Tomoe River paper is, IMO, the best paper for fountain pens. The paper is thin, lightweight, sturdy, super smooth, and very rarely bleeds through or ghosts. That makes using each side of the page an easy choice to make.

It comes in a nice fabric bag with a drawing. The bottom of the bag has a multi-dot and solid line that matches with a similar embossed design on the front of the journal. Above that embossing on the front cover is the embossed Pen Chalet pen nib/house logo. On the back cover is embossed in two areas. The bottom reads, "ENDLESS" and at the middle it reads, "The Write Tools for the Analog Writer". I like these details and the fact that there isn't overt advertising.

Inside the is a wider than normal attached ribbon bookmark which is another great touch. The typical width is so narrow that they tend to get squished up and twisted when closing the journal unless extra care is given to prevent it.

Inside the back cover is a full length, nearly full width pocket. Inside the pocket I found another nice touch in a sturdy sticker that says, "Ideas are Endless."

The journal is definitely hardbound and a quick crack of the spine allows the pages to lay flat. The cover texture looks like leather grain and it feels a lot like leather. The elastic closure matches the color of the bookmark in a lighter blue that goes beautifully with the darker blue.

This journal is my new standard. I hope the future brings more color options and options with more pages. Maybe a 240 page and a 320 page which would be 50% and 100% more pages, respectfully. I'd also like to see a lined option at 7mm instead of the typical 5mm line spacing to give a little more room for broad, flex, and stub nibs. This quality of paper would highlight the greater amounts of ink that wetter and wider nibs can lay down.
