The Delta Hippocratica Collection fountain pen is a tribute to Hippocrates. Known as the father of western medicine, Hippocrates is also widely believed to be the writer of the Hippocratic Oath, an oath historically taken by doctors and healthcare professionals swearing to practice medicine ethically and honestly.

The Delta Hippocratica fountain pen is turned by hand from solid bars of special red and blue resins with all trim in a special metal alloy plated with precious rhodium. The rhodium-plated trim features beautifully detailed embellishments on the finial, center ring, and pen clip. The gorgeous deep blue barrel and cap hold a pearlescent glow, and the blue is paired with a contrasting red resin seen on the grip section and the back end of the barrel. Other key elements include a threaded cap (that also has a threaded post), a cartridge converter filling system (compatible with standard international size ink cartridges or converters), a Delta branded stainless steel nib, and the brand logo and collection name engraved on the pen's barrel. The eye-catching pen clip portrays the Rod of Asclepius, a symbol associated with healing and medicine depicted by a serpent-entwined rod said to have been wielded by the Greek god Asclepius. The center ring is engraved with the word HIPPOCRATICA remembering Hippocrates.
