I absolutely love this ink color, Night Colored in Grape (Standard). I have so many shimmery inks, so I was happy to have picked this one up as a standard ink color. This is perfect for me to use while journaling, writing out my morning pages, gratitude, and setting daily intentions. The color is beautiful and I am so excited about it. When I am picking out fountain pen ink colors, I try to avoid basic blacks and ball point pen blues. I opt for colors that make people do a double take, like this one. No one would mistake this ink as basic pen ink. It's defintely special and makes a statement.

The ink is Wearingeul The Sign of Four is a lovely dark purple with a rainbow color of shimmer that flows well, but the amazing plus for this ink is that it works great on cheap copy paper. I went to the doctor and only had my TWSBI Mini Grape -M- inked up and this ink behaved perfectly on the copy paper. I wish I could add a photo of my swatch and handwriting sample. Definitely worth a try if you like purple.

Smooth flow, no skipping, and it kept up with flex writing with no issues. It’s moderately wet and very well-behaved—no feathering, no clogging, even on cheaper paper. Dry time was around 10–15 seconds on Tomoe River and Clairefontaine, and a bit faster on more absorbent paper. The performance was consistent and reliable. The 30ml bottle is compact and easy to fill from, and the box design carries just enough whimsy to tie into the literary theme without feeling overdone.
