Truly impressed with this one the knock off Chinese Parker refills do not work well. These refills thus far are far superior looking forward to getting long quality service from them. They are smooth and no blotching. grades 6,7,and 8 were interesting from the standpoint of wrighting (that is spelled correctly I am Canadian EH).we got to use ink in the eighth grade ink wells on the corner of the desk a blotter at every table and a quill type dip pen, that is the time ball point pens first showed up in school. GAwd what a mess the ink was too sloppy and would collect on the point for a very short time then wipe off in a big glob. These Schmidt refills are made in Germany and their engineering has been world renowned for a long time and this is no exception.

Do you need a standard international converter? If yes, then just get a Schmidt K5. They’re excellent quality and a very reasonable price. Hell, get extra so you can swap ink in a pen faster while you let the previous converter dry.

The Schmidt is my favorite of the ‘Parker-style’ refills. No vacations in ink, regardless of color or tip preference. Glides onto paper better than others.
