Pineider Avatar UR Fountain Pens Reviews
Thumbs up on the Pineider Avatar UR in Pacific Blue. The Pineider Avatar UR is the second generation of the Avatar pen, with the difference being in the resin and section. I have to say that I like the first generation’s deep, shimmering resin better than this rendition, which is somewhat less enthralling. It’s still a great looking pen, but it isn’t up to its predecessor’s appeal. The section on this pen is better though, as it widens toward the feed, unlike the first generation which had a smooth taper that led to fingers slipping onto the feed. The pen’s fine steel nib writes well and reliably. The magnetic cap closes with a very satisfying “Click”, and posts securely (which I like!). Although I prefer the first generation of the Avatar, this is a great pen and definitely a keeper.

The Pineider Avatar in Abalone Green is beautiful. I love the magnetic cap and that the pen body is unbreakable. I occasionally drop my pens and am not too worried if I drop this one. The nib is a fine and writes like an Italian fine (of course not as fine as Japanese nibs, but that is ok with me).
I inked mine up with Diamine Aqua Lagoon and it is lovely. It is a very comfortable pen to write with.
It has a bit of flex but not as much as my Pineider La Grande Bellezza Gemstones Fountain pen. The flex is for a more comfortable writing experience.
