Beautiful pen - writes very well/smooth (med nib). The light blue is a gorgeous color. The filling system is easy to use.

I hadn't seen or read a lot about this pen, but I took a chance. I'm very happy I did. It's a beautiful pen. Wrote wonderfully right out of the box. It's an eyedropper with a shut-off valve. It's a big pen - I like that. It's actually bigger than a Jinhao 159, but nowhere near as heavy. The contoured grip is comfortable. If I was forced to criticize this pen; it's not for quick notes, or telephone jotting, or the like. Almost three and a half turns to cap/uncap. But I don't mind, I have snap-cap pens for that purpose. This is a writer. Wet and smooth. Very enjoyable.

I love love that pen. Not only ot is beautiful, but it write so smoothly as all my other Opus 88. I inked it with Diamine Starlit sea and it is just a gorgeous combo.

I have small hands- yet something about the balance and the grip design allows me a secure precise grip and ease of long hours of writing.
The pen I chose was orange and green. It has a pleasing tactile feel in use and in handling. The color combo looks cutting edge and modern as light plays over its ultra smmoth surface and through the clear cap, and translucent sections. Bravo to the designers.

I bought this Opus 88 Jazz creamcycle orange fountain pen after reading numerous rave reviews about this brand. The resin's color is a warm, vibrant, but not garish at all ice cream bar orange. Very appealing. The ink window is dark teal, but does clearly show the ink level. I bought this pen out of curiosity about an eyedropper pen with a shut-off valve. Opening and closing the valve to control ink flow does not bother me at all. It is so well built. Just oozes quality. It's a big pen yet is very comfortable for my small hand. Holds a ton of ink. Now to the heart of the pen - the nib. I ordered the fine point nib and it wrote out of the box so smoothly. It lays down a line width that is a little finer than many Western fines, but I really like it. The tines were not out of alignment. I filled the pen with Monteverde Cherry Pie ink. The pen and the ink work so well together. The flow was a little on the dry side, but is wetter now that I've used it over some days. The pen is very easy to fill with the included glass eyedropper. At some point, I will get a different Opus 88 model because the nib is smoooooth, the manufacturing quality is so high,and the price is right. That is my great experience with this pen.

Great pen from Opus 88 as usual. This one feels very comfortable unposted. The body color, especially filled is much, much darker than in marketing photos so the pen overall is dark in aspect. I have the blue, ordering the green. Beautifully finished.
